Site News/Thanksgiving Outlook

I know the site hasn’t been updated over the past couple of months as regularly as it has been. I was debating whether or not to shut down the site but I feel that I still have a lot to offer the weather community even if I am not getting a degree in it. With that said, I am going to continue running the website. The website will be restructured and will hopefully be complete by 2010!

I am looking for forecasters to forecast for selected zones across the Northeast. If you are interested please contact me using the contact form. Thanks!

Quick Thanksgiving Outlook: Rain and drizzle rule the roost for majority of the Northeast this holiday. Clouds will linger across much of the region. Most places will remain dry through the early part of the day across southern New England. New England will likely see rain developing during the overnight. Clouds will begin to precipitate towards late afternoon and into the evening hours. Don’t leave home without the umbrella. The rain will linger through Black Friday into the early part of Saturday. Sunday looks good for the majority of the Northeast – with the exception of northern New England where clouds and showers could still linger.

Unsettled Week

Low pressure system in the Midwest will move into the southern New England region on Wednesday. This will bring showers and heavy rain by Wednesday night to this region. This precipitation will track into New England by Thursday. Another low pressure system will move into the Plains and then move into the Northeast by Friday bringing rain to the entire region. First start of the weekend looks unsettled but the end of the weekend looks dryer. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s to 50s across New England and 50s and possible some 60s across southern New England.
