There is no doubt about it, it is downright cold in the Northeast today! Cold temperatures combined with a chilly breeze is making it feel more like winter then spring. Don’t worry though this is temporary as a ridge will begin building from the west. Upper-level closed low will linger across the region until later Tuesday. This will keep cold and chilly temperatures to persist across the region. Temperatures should soar by the middle to end of the week. Warmer temperatures should persist into the weekend – however it could be a bit unsettled.
Temperatures should spike into the 50s across majority of the region (some spots may even hit the 60s – mainly NYC southward), even up into New England. Northern New England may only reach the upper 40s but nevertheless it will still be mild across the region.
Looking at the long range weather outlook across the region, it appears that this up and down roller-coaster will continue over the next upcoming weeks.
