10 PM Monday Update

WEATHER DISCUSSION:

Conditions look pretty decent across the Northeast tomorrow as high pressure will continue dominate the region. High temperatures will be in the 20s across New England and 40s across southern New England. Storm system to move into the region from the Plains states will impact the region from Wednesday through Friday. Low pressure will track into the Ohio Valley bringing in a surge of warm air for southern New England and across the Mid Atlantic. Some places around NYC up into NW NJ could start out with mixed precipitation before going to all rain during the late afternoon hours on Wednesday. Precipitation looks to start by the afternoon hours on Wednesday and continue through the day on Friday for the Northeast. Precipitation will start across southern New England around lunchtime on Wednesday and during the overnight across northern New England. New England would see precipitation begin around dinner time to early evening. Precipitation will likely be mixed precipitation, possibly starting as snow across Upstate NY. The area that may remain all snow is northern NY, northern VT including – northeast Kingdom VT, northern NH, and northern ME. Some dry slotting is expected to occur. Additional accumulations will be possible with upsloping snowfall across the entire New England region. A tight pressure gradient will also develop and could cause some breezy conditions across the region in the wake of this system.

Another event is possible by the end of this weekend. We still have time to watch it!
