Incredibly cold temperatures plague the Northeast. Cold air continues to filter down from Canada, make it feel downright bitter.
I think many would consider this recent shot of cold air more than just cold. Cold is an understatement with low temperatures going down to around -30 to -40 across northern New England and temperatures in the single digits across southern New England. Teens for lows were found across the deep south! Crazy!
When is all of this cold air going to end? Well we should begin to see a moderation in temperatures by tomorrow as the high pressure ushering down the really cold air will finally move offshore allowing for a more southerly flow. As a result, temperatures will be cold but not as bitter.
Watching a clipper type system to move into the region late this weekend into the start of the work week. Models are still in disagreement with this system so we will watch this over the next upcoming days. Looks like some measurable snow could fall across the Northeast.
Stay tuned,
