Storm Chaos Weather is continuing to track an area of low pressure across the Midwest that will bring precipitation to the region. Travel will likely be impacted later today into tonight as the low pressure system moves closer to us.
The models have shifted the heaviest precipitation further towards the north allowing for the potential of more mixed precipitation to move into the area then earlier expected. I’m thinking southern and central as well as the shore areas of NJ and LI will see mixing issues from this system. This should cut down snow accumulations across this region. Further to the north across northern NJ and southern New York state up into Connecticut will see another round of heavy snow fall accumulations. Thinking T-2″ across central NJ, 3-6″ northern NJ, 5-10″ across southern NY into CT. Snow should begin to pick up again this afternoon and continue into the overnight. Precipitation should wrap up by tomorrow morning and partly cloudy skies should rule the roost for tomorrow afternoon.
Stay tuned
