Snow update

This system has been getting wackier and wackier as the day goes on.

Mostly all of the rain in Vermont has changed over to either a mixture or snow. Further off to the east in Maine and New Hampshire rain showers will likely continue. Rain should changeover after midnight. Much of southern New England should be recovering from a surprising first snowfall of the pre-meteorological winter. Some places recieved well over 2 inches of snowfall accumulations. As the low continues to move further and further away so does most of the precipitation. Some snow showers and flurries will be possible as strong Northwest winds will now be the story.

For New England the storm is still occurring and will continue through the day tomorrow. Strong winds will help create upsloping and snow showers which could result in additional accumulations tomorrow and into tomorrow night. As the low pressure system moves further away from the region, the winds should relax and snow showers should diminish across the entire region.

Winds will be increasing over the next couple of hours with gusts in the 35-45 MPH range. Some power outages are possible, especially in combination with the heavy wet snow.
