Greetings from Lake George New York! The weather has been mild and warm with occasional showers and storms throughout the week. I’m happy to say it has been nothing like what is has been last week.
A cold front across the Midwest will make its way eastward throughout the next 24-48 hours. With a warm and humid airmass in place showers and thunderstorms will be triggered across much of the Northeast. Western areas of New England and southern New England will be the target zone this afternoon while eastern areas will see isolated storms. The front inches closer tonight allowing for more organized precipitation to move into the region. An upper-level low will move into Canada following the cold front. This should keep the weather pattern unsettled through the rest of the week in New England. This should produce scattered afternoon showers and storms.
The heat will be on from Sunday – a good chunk of next week as a ridge of high pressure builds in from the middle of the country.
“Jersey shore” Ocean temperatures range from 65 to 75. Cooler ocean temperatures along the Ocean and Atlantic county beaches (65-70) while northern beaches are in the lower to middle 70s. Low rip currents can be expected.
