Weather Outlook

Northeast Analysis

Upper-level low will bring showers and thunderstorms to the region. Some of these storms may be strong to severe. The showers and storms may move in quickly giving little warning time. I urge everyone to keep an eye to the sky and I will do my best to keep you posted throughout the weekend on the showers and storms. It is important to review thunderstorm and lightning safety tips this weekend. Hazy, Hot, and Humid conditions can be felt throughout the region as southwesterly winds pump in moisture and heat from the south. Dryer and cooler weather will arrive by the start of the week.

Storm Reports

In the event of severe weather please use the form below to submit a storm report. Storm reports help aid forecasters in forecasting and alerting the public for future weather events. For example, suppose a severe thunderstorm caused significant tree damage and is about to hit a town a couple of miles away. A warning has been issued by the local National Weather Service stating destructive hail and damaging winds. However, only damaging winds were occurring with this storm. By submitting a storm report we can more accurately and better predict storms for those that are in the path of the storm. All storm reports will be relayed to the National Weather Service so it can help them adjust all weather alerts, warnings, watches, and advisories for the area. You may remain confidential in your storm report submission.
