A Hot TGIF!

The heat and humidity will be in full force tomorrow across much of the region will be under a ridge of high pressure. However, an upper-level disturbance will be moving into the region on Saturday bringing a return to showers and thunderstorms across the region. :-|

I’m thinking as of right now that Saturday will be the better of the two days as far as the weather is concerned. However, both days we will have to dodge showers and storms it’s just that Sunday we may have a greater chance at seeing some storms. The weather will be “annoying” one moment sunny, the next cloudy, the next showery/stormy then rinse, wash and repeat. Some spots may remain dry the entire day while other areas see plenty of rainfall. This is because this rain is convective and is not going to be widespread as it may be with an area of low pressure. The convectivness of this precipitation makes it very challenging to pinpoint when and where the precipitation will occur. Please be ready throughout the wekend to dodge showers and thunderstorms, some of which may give little warning signs. It is important that you review thunderstorm and lightning safety tips, especially if you have outdoor plans this weekend. The heat will be in full force this weekend as 90s will still be felt across much of southern New England and upper 70s/80s across New England. We should remain unsettled throughout much of the week next week.
